Thursday (4/16)

Today at the CARE Center, I worked to finalize the early-stage care guide. This involved creating more graphics, fitting all of the content on each page, and reviewing the pages with Sarah. After lunch, we sat down to go through each page to see what she wanted differently, and see what looks good. We decided that since the pages were going to be bound, all of the information would need to be shifted over a little bit, so I worked on this. She also suggested rewording some of the pages and reorganizing the information, so once she gave me the suggestions, I worked to improve the pages.

We also had our last caregiver meeting of the semester, and I really enjoyed the last talk with everyone. We even had some new faces at this meeting, and I hope they continue with the meetings over the summer. This support group meeting was centered on finding the good in each day even when life feels like its falling apart. Sarah mentioned how even if you take 30 seconds in your day to breathe and focus on yourself, it can be beneficial for stress. Even with all of the stress the caregivers take on, this was a great message to end on and can be carried into each day to reach goals.
