Thursday (2/12)

Today at the CARE Center, I spent the morning meeting with Jenay to discuss the first draft of the first book that is covering early-stage dementia. We spent this time going over what wording could be changed, where tables and graphics could be added, and making sure that the overall structure and purpose is where we want it. We also talked about wanting to keep the books short, so a lot of the language copied over from the original care guide could be shorter. The meeting was exciting and also super informative because I was able to discuss my project with people who can help lead me in the right direction and also hear out my ideas in a respectful and positive environment. We discussed the timeline for the project to make sure we were on track and I plan to keep making all the books and designing them later on. After lunch, I spent time working on the edits we made together.
