Friday (2/6)

Today at the CARE Center, I spent time going over the Book 1 outline with Sarah. Right now, we are working on finding a balance between our purpose in the books without providing an overwhelming amount of information to each book. The overall purpose of the books is to provide a stage-by-stage guide for caregivers on their role, expectations, and what to prepare. Unfortunately, this could include a ton of information since dementia varies person to person. For now, we discussed what this purpose would look like for the book as well as changes she wanted to see from the initial outline. After that, we spent time gathering ideas and resources for the dementia-friendly dance event that is happening this upcoming Sunday. This event will include dementia-friendly aspects to keep the event calming but fun. I have opted to volunteer setting up the event and attending to gain experience that could even be helpful for writing the books.
